About the Journal

Global Journal of History of International Relations and Diplomacy (GJOHIRD), an International Journal domiciled in the Department of History and Diplomatic Studies, Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, is a bi-annual multi-disciplinary journal published to promote scholarly study of past and contemporary issues in International Relations and Diplomacy.
The journal welcomes original and well researched contributions with international orientation or touches that stimulate discourse among scholars with varied interests and backgrounds in the humanities and social sciences especially from History, International Relations, Political Science, Public Management, Economics, Law, Peace and Conflict Studies, Criminology/Intelligence and Security Studies, Defence/Military and Strategic Studies, Cybersecurity Studies, Comparative Education and other related disciplines. The Journal is available both in Prints and Online versions and have International Editorial Consultants drawn from among distinguished Scholars in reputable Universities globally and also including past and practicing resource personalities in the Diplomatic Missions/Field.

Editorial Policy

The guidelines for publishing the journal include the following:

• Papers should be submitted with an abstract of not more than 350 words.
• Papers should not be more than 15 pages of “A4” paper typed with 1.5 line spacing. Papers should be word processed in Microsoft Word. Articles must be typed using font size 12, Times New Roman.
• Articles meant for publication should be written in English using the British English mode of spelling.
• The cover page should bear the title of the article, author’s name, his or her academic affiliation or status. Authors should indicate their email addresses and or phone numbers on the cover page of their papers.
• Each paper shall be subjected to blind peer review (assessment). And to enhance this, the name of the author(s) should not appear on the first page of the paper (i.e. on top of the abstract).
• Each manuscript shall also be subjected to plagiarism test/check.
• The Chicago manner or styles, 14th edition or MLA styles with notes and references is preferred for the article.
• However, being an interdisciplinary journal, the APA style of referencing shall also be tolerated.
• All tables, figures, graphs, diagrams and photographs should be numbered and integrated appropriately.
• All published articles shall be available both in Prints and Online versions via the website: www.johird.org

The Editors welcome well researched articles, commentaries and book reviews that fall within the international purview stated above.

Assessment and Publication Fee

All manuscripts sent for consideration from Nigeria should be accompanied by a non-refundable assessment fee of Ten Thousand Naira Only (₦10,000). All submitted articles will be peer reviewed and if found publishable, authors will be expected to return a revised copy in line with the assessor’s comments. This should be followed by a non-refundable publication fee of Thirty Thousand Naira Only (₦30,000).
While subscribers to the journal from outside Nigeria are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Fifty-Five US Dollars ($55) if the Article is accepted.
